RUT956 combines the WAN flexibility of dual LTE SIM with wired Ethernet WAN failover, creating a three-path redundant connectivity solution for PLC and HMI remote access. Integrated I/O (4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input) monitors door contacts, alarm outputs, and 4-20 mA signals directly from the router without a separate I/O expander. RMS (Remote Management System) cloud platform allows Teltonika integrators to manage 10,000+ routers from a single pane of glass with per-device VPN, live CLI, and event log access. OpenWRT-based OS supports custom scripts, MQTT clients, and Modbus TCP/RTU polling for embedded data acquisition without a separate gateway. SMS and email alerts on WAN failover events and I/O state changes notify field teams of critical infrastructure status changes.
