MS5837’s 2×2 mm stainless-steel housing withstands 30-bar absolute pressure, corresponding to 300 m water depth, while sipping only 1.25 µA in standby. On-chip 24-bit ADC digitises both pressure and temperature at up to 150 Hz, allowing real-time depth profiling in fast-moving ROVs without external ADC components. I2C interface operates from 1.8 V to 3.6 V, directly compatible with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, and bare-metal MCU designs. Factory-calibrated compensation coefficients stored in onboard PROM eliminate field calibration for production runs. Used by Blue Robotics in the widely deployed BlueROV2 underwater vehicle platform.
