The kit bundles a Dragino LPS8 indoor LoRaWAN gateway, three soil moisture sensors, two temperature/humidity sensors, and a pre-paid 12-month The Things Network subscription, enabling farms to begin collecting data the day the kit arrives. Sensors deploy without an electrician and report every 30 minutes on a 2-year battery, covering field extremities up to 5 km from the gateway in flat agricultural terrain. Agri-EPI Centre provides a hosted Grafana dashboard preconfigured with farm-sector data templates for irrigation scheduling and microclimate monitoring. Field notes app allows farm managers to annotate sensor data with agronomic observations, building a labelled dataset for predictive models. Open data export in CSV and JSON enables integration with John Deere Operations Centre, Trimble Ag, and AHDB benchmarking tools.
