The IE3400 Heavy Duty is rated IP67/IP69K, operates from -40°C to 70°C, and withstands Class I Division 2 hazardous locations, making it suitable for oil & gas, transportation, and utility substations. It supports full Layer 3 routing including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP, enabling campus-grade network architecture at the field level. Native PROFINET device role and EtherNet/IP integration allow the switch to appear as a transparent node in OT networks. Cisco’s Cyber Vision security software provides OT asset discovery and anomaly detection directly from the switch hardware.
