TBEN-LG eliminates the tool-changer signal cables that fray and fail in high-cycle robot end-of-arm tooling applications, with the base and head units communicating through the 5 mm air gap at Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Power transfer of 50 W at 24 V DC provides sufficient budget for servo grippers, vision systems, and multi-sensor tool assemblies without external slip rings. Hot-plug capability allows tool changeover in under 3 seconds without de-energising the robot cell, maintaining cycle time on pallet-line and press-tending applications. IP67/IP69K rated for wash-down and coolant exposure common in food processing and die-casting robot cells. EtherNet/IP and PROFINET coexist on the same coupling unit via Turck multiprotocol firmware, supporting both Allen-Bradley and Siemens controlled cells from the same stock code.
